We are based in San Francisco. Carbon is the first product: a generation layer that sits between engineering workflows and regulatory submission. The company is named for materials that do not fail quietly. The products are too.
“Almost compliant” is a shipping blocker, not a status. Documentation that arrives at week 13 is how products miss windows, how audits find gaps, and how enterprise deals stall on a questionnaire.
AI that cannot show its work does not belong in a submission. Carbon isolates LLM calls to authoring, then scores output with deterministic rules. Humans still sign.
Carbon is in customer trials across life sciences, healthcare IT, fintech, government software, and scientific / AI teams. It is not general availability. Pricing is contact-only. Company attestations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, BAA) are in progress and not claimed.
